ABOUT SANGITA PHADKE
Sangita Phadke is a leading pastel artist specializing in larger than life fruits, vegetables, and flowers. As a self taught artist, she has developed her realistic style through the experimentation of color and an obsession with detail.
Phadke began her art career in 2007. Since then, she has been the recipient of over 60 awards and has been featured in The Pastel Journal, The Artist's Magazine, France's Pratique des Arts, International Artist Magazine, and Southwest Art Magazine where she was named one of the 21 "Young Artists to Collect Now."
Her award winning paintings have hung in the United States Embassy, the Butler Institute of American Art, the Salmagundi Club, the National Arts Club, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, The Art Gallery of Hamilton Ontario, the San Diego Art Institute, as well as several galleries and private collections.
Phadke was inducted into the International Association of Pastel Societies Master Circle in 2010. She was awarded the distinction of “Master Pastelist’ by the Pastel Society of America in 2011.
