ABOUT SANGITA PHADKE
Sangita Phadke is a Board Member and Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America. She was inducted into the International Association of Pastel Societies Master Circle in 2010.
As a self taught artist, Sangita has developed her photo realistic style through the experimentation of color and an obsession with detail. Her award winning paintings have hung in the Butler Institute of American Art, the Salmagundi Club, the National Arts Club, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, the Art Gallery of Hamilton Ontario, the LaGrange Art Museum, the San Diego Art Institute, as well as several galleries and private collections.
Her most recent awards include First Place in the pastel category of the Prismacolor Annual Competition, the Award of Excellence at the San Diego Art Institute, and the Audubon Artists Gold Medal of Honor at the Salmagundi Club. Sangita currently resides in Colts Neck, NJ. She teaches pastel classes and workshops around the country.
