This workshop is open to artists of all levels, though some familiarity with soft pastels and foundational drawing skills is recommended.

Take your floral pastel paintings to the next level under the mentoring guidance of Sangita Phadke. Students will work from a photo reference provided by Ms. Phadke. The photo reference will be emailed to you prior to the workshop date. Please have a loose sketch finished before class begins. The class will begin with a discussion of materials and technique followed by a demonstration. Individual guidance will be provided as students work. A materials list will be provided to registered participants.

Join artist Sangita Phadke for a relaxing and inspiring beginner friendly soft pastel workshop focused on painting beautiful skies. Held in the charming barn of a private residence, this intimate event is limited to just 15 participants. Perfect for beginners, this hands on class will guide you step-by-step through the basics of working with soft pastels while creating your own dreamy sky scene. You’ll learn blending techniques, color layering, and how to capture glowing light in a calm, supportive setting. All materials are provided, and a light lunch will be served.
